Frequently
Asked Questions

As a leading residential builder in the Pilbara region we are often asked a number of frequently asked questions about building a home. We have put together a list of some of the most common questions we receive.

I’m a registered tradesperson, can I do some of the build myself?
Yes! We believe in taking a collaborative approach to building and want to assist you in saving money where possible. There are a few conditions that you need to keep in mind. In order to complete work yourself you must be registered and have the relevant certifications in your relevant trade. The work you plan on completing has to be decided on and put into the contract at the initial planning phase of the build process. Also, we do not allow any structural work to be completed by our clients.
How soon can I start building my home?
Once we receive the appropriate building permits it will generally take between 4-8 weeks for us to be on site once you’ve signed your contract.
How long will my build take?
It’s one of our most common questions, but also one of the most difficult to answer! Generally speaking a build will take between 6 and 8 months to complete. However, there are many factors that need to be considered when it comes to time frames. The size of your job and the weather are just two things that can impact how long the build will take. As a builder, it’s our goal to ensure we keep all avenues of communication open. From the outset of the project we will always be realistic with the timeframes and if anything changes that will impact the initial time frame our client is always the first to know.
How much will my home cost?
All of our homes are custom designed. There are four key things that we take into consideration when putting together the cost of your home – the size, the complexity of the design, the inclusions and the characteristics of the land. Our focus is on producing high quality, practical and stylish homes that work to your budget.
Is it possible to build an environmentally friendly home?

One of the core values of our business is to implement environmentally friendly practice wherever possible throughout construction. This starts with the tradespeople we employ – all of which are GreenSmart Accredited. As a builder we are committed to creating homes with an environmentally sustainable flair. We want our homes to produce less greenhouse gas, need less water and power, and generally be healthier to live in. Throughout the planning and consultation stage we can offer advice on how to make your home more environmentally friendly, without blowing your budget.

Can we visit the building site to see the progress of our home?
Yes, of course you can! Generally we ask you to contact our office to arrange a time for a site visit which is generally during normal business hours. That was someone will be on site and will be available to give you access and ensure the site is safe to enter.
